IC LOOKUP FAQ

Using this tool

What is an IC Part Number Lookup?+

It looks up an IC part number against official manufacturer information to show who makes it, its lifecycle status, key specifications, related parts and public GitHub projects that reference the part.

How do I check if an IC is discontinued?+

AnHot reports the lifecycle status as published by the manufacturer. This is only a guide — always verify lifecycle and EOL information with the manufacturer before designing a product around a part.

What does NRND mean?+

"Not Recommended for New Designs". The part is still available, but the manufacturer advises against using it in new designs. NRND is not the same as discontinued.

Where can I find an official IC datasheet?+

AnHot links directly to the official manufacturer product page, where the datasheet and supporting documentation are published.

Can I find open-source projects using an IC?+

AnHot searches public GitHub repositories for references to the part. A project that mentions a part does not prove that its hardware uses it, so GitHub matches are shown separately from official manufacturer data.
