SKILL TEST

Reaction Time Test

Wait for the green signal, then click or press Space. Five counted rounds produce your average and fastest times.

1 / 5 roundsReady when you are

Five timed rounds. If you click or press Space before the green signal, that round is not counted — just wait and try again.

HOW IT WORKS

Five fair rounds

  1. 1Click or press Space to arm a round.
  2. 2Wait until the surface turns green.
  3. 3React instantly — a premature action cancels the round.
  4. 4After five counted rounds, see average, best and each round.

WHY A RANGE

You see a baseline

  • Consistency across rounds matters as much as one fast click.
  • Your best round shows peak, not your steady performance.
  • Results stay in this tab; nothing is uploaded.

LIMITATIONS

What this test cannot prove

Reaction time measured in a browser includes your display latency, operating system, input device and browser event pipeline. It is an informal exercise, not a medical, cognitive or hardware benchmark.

REACTION FAQ

Useful answers before testing

What does the average reaction time mean?+

It is the simple arithmetic mean of your five counted rounds. Your fastest round shows your raw speed when conditions line up.

What happens if I click too early?+

A click or Space press before the green signal cancels that round and it is not counted. Just wait for the green signal and advance again.

Is this a diagnostic test?+

No. It is an informal browser exercise for practice and comparison. Browser event timing includes the display, operating system and input device.

Why can results feel slower than I expect?+

Total latency is the sum of your display, GPU pipeline, browser and input device — not just your nervous system response.
